Jamie Wilson

Established in 2008, Jamie Wilson Productions has produced or co-produced over 90 productions in London, Broadway, on tour throughout the UK, and internationally. The Stage 100 listed Jamie as number 17 in the most influential people in the theatre industry, and in 2023, Jamie Wilson Productions was shortlisted for Producer of the Year at The Stage Awards.

Over the last 18 months JWP have produced the Chichester Festival Theatre’s production of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s South Pacific at Sadler’s Wells; The Lincoln Centre’s production of Lerner and Loewe’s My Fair Lady which played at the London Coliseum and a new production of Sister Act The Musical, co-produced with Whoopi Goldberg, which played at the Eventim Apollo.
All three productions received nominations for Best Musical Revival at the 2023 Olivier Awards.

Last year, in the west end, JWP have produced the UK premiere of Ain’t Too Proud: The Life and Times of the Temptations at The Prince Edward Theatre, and the hit new musical Mrs Doubtfire which is playing at the Shaftesbury Theatre, now extended through until February 2025. This production marks the beginning of a ten-year collaboration with The Shaftesbury Theatre, and sees Jamie take the role of principal Producer for the venue.

Sister Act the musical continues its two year sell out UK and Ireland tour. An Officer and a Gentleman is also on a national tour and delighting regional theatres. In September 2023 Mrs Doubtfire the musical commenced a 12-month USA tour. 

JWP with special permission from The Band Aid Trust commissioned a new musical Just for One Day based upon the events around Live Aid. Written by John O’Farrell and Directed by Luke Sheppard, this new musical had a recording breaking run at the Old Vic Theatre, London in early 2024, future plans for the production are soon to be announced.

In addition to the UK and Ireland tour, Sister Act the musical returned to London in March for a 24-week limited season at the Dominion Theatre, starring Beverley Knight, Ruth Jones, Lesley Joseph and Lemar. There are also three other separate productions now on sale for 2024/25 in The Netherlands, Germany and Australia.

With three-time Tony Award winning producer, Kevin McCollum, JWP are proud to be producing The Devil Wears Prada with music by Elton John and directed by Jerry Mitchell. This brand-new production will be having an out of town try out at the Theatre Royal Plymouth before transferring to the Dominion Theatre, London from October 2024.

Alongside Alchemation and Kurt Deutsch, JWP are proud to be a co producer on the new musical The Notebook with music by Ingrid Michaelson, which opened on Broadway in February 2024.

With Kevin McCollum, JWP are in development for a new musical Night at the Museum with music by Alan Menken and a book by Bob Martin.

Jamie is a proud member of the Society of London Theatre, and is a trustee of Stage One, supporting new producers.

In Jamie’s spare time, he also co-owns George's Dog Boutique in Wimbledon Village. The salon was inspired by his pooch George and is dedicated to bringing the highest level of service and care to dogs and their owners.



Calamity Jane UK & Ireland Tour 2025, starring Carrie Hope Fletcher

Jamie Wilson Productions today announced the revival of The Watermill Theatre’s
whip-crackin’ production of the Broadway and West End hit musical Calamity Jane starring Carrie Hope Fletcher which will tour the UK and Ireland from January 2025 prior to the West End.

Marking ten years since the show hit the road the production reunites the previous creative team with Direction by Curve Artistic Director, Nikolai Foster (An Officer and a
Gentleman, Kinky Boots), Co-Direction and Choreography by Nick Winston (Shrek The
Musical, Burlesque The Musical), Orchestration and Music Supervision by Catherine Jayes (The Color Purple, Merrily We Roll Along), and Set and Costume Design by Matthew Wright. This production will have Lighting Design by Tim Mitchell, Sound Design by Ben Harrison and Casting by Debbie O'Brien.

Carrie Hope Fletcher said “Calamity Jane is one of those roles that doesn’t come around all too often. She’s action, romance and comedy all packed into one character, and I can’t wait to take on the challenge of filling her shoes!”

Watermill Theatre in 2014, I am delighted to be collaborating with them again to finally
bring this wonderful production back to theatres all over the country after a 10-year
absence. We have been waiting for the right moment and artist to step into Calamity's
boots and bring this hilarious and joyful musical back to the nation, and we are thrilled
that Carrie Hope Fletcher will be leading the company as the iconic Calamity Jane. Carrie is one of the UK’s most talented artists who’s broad fan base will introduce this much beloved musical to audiences across the country.

Sister Act London - LIVE album announced

We are delighted to announce that a live cast album of the show will be recorded over three nights, on Monday 27, Tuesday 28 and Wednesday 29 May at the Dominion Theatre. The album will be released later this year.

The recording will feature Beverley Knight as Deloris Van Cartier, Ruth Jones as Mother Superior, and the current cast of the show.

Ever since we first brought this brand new production back to the West End, the number one question we've had is 'When is the cast album?'. Based on the show's triumphant success in London and to celebrate the news that there will be 5 productions of our new version around the world this year, we had to make this happen. Germany and Austria tour announced for Sister Act!

It has been announced that from Autumn 2024, Sister Act the Musical will head out on a major tour around Germany and Austria. 

After successes across the UK and Ireland, Sister Act will be translated into the german language and is getting set to thrill audiences across the country.

Gavin & Stacey star Ruth Jones announced as Mother Superior in Sister Act at the Dominion Theatre

The producers of the award-winning production of SISTER ACT THE MUSICAL are thrilled to announce that Gavin and Stacey star and co-writer Ruth Jones will swap Barry Island for blessings as ‘Mother Superior’, making her West End debut at the Dominion Theatre from Friday 15 March 2024.

Ruth joins the multi-award-winning music star and Olivier Award winning performer Beverley Knight, reprising her performance as Deloris Van Cartier, until Saturday 8 June 2024. From 10 June 2024, the role of Deloris Van Cartier will be played by Number One best-selling artist and musical theatre star Alexandra Burke, with further casting to be announced.

Ruth Jones said, “I’m proper chuffed to be making my West End debut in Sister Act next March
playing the legendary Mother Superior at the Dominion Theatre. It’s a crackin’ role and a
crackin’ show. Who knew wearing a habit could feel so fabulous! I can’t wait!”

The hit family stage musical Mrs. Doubtfire at the Shaftesbury Theatre in London has released a narrative-driven Christmas TV advert, an exclusive first for the theatre industry, which will break on ITV this Saturday 11 November and run throughout the festive period 2023.
