Jamie Wilson Productions is an independent theatre production company
Established in 2008, Jamie Wilson Productions has produced or co-produced over 90 productions in London, Broadway, on tour throughout the UK, and internationally. The Stage have regularly listed Jamie among the top 100 most influential people in the theatre industry, and in 2023, Jamie Wilson Productions was shortlisted for Producer of the Year at The Stage Awards.
Over the last 18 months JWP have produced the Chichester Festival Theatre’s production of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s South Pacific at Sadler’s Wells; The Lincoln Centre’s production of Lerner and Loewe’s My Fair Lady which played at the London Coliseum and a new production of Sister Act The Musical, co-produced with Whoopi Goldberg, which played at the Eventim Apollo.
All three productions received nominations for Best Musical Revival at the 2023 Olivier Awards.
This year, in the west end, JWP have produced the UK premiere of Ain’t Too Proud: The Life and Times of the Temptations at The Prince Edward Theatre, and the hit new musical Mrs Doubtfire which is playing at the Shaftesbury Theatre, now extended through until September 2024. This production marks the beginning of a ten-year collaboration with The Shaftesbury Theatre, and sees Jamie take the role of principal Producer for the venue.
Sister Act the musical continues its two year sell out UK and Ireland tour. In September of this year Mrs Doubtfire the musical commenced a 12-month USA tour. The hit musicals An Officer and a Gentleman and Calamity Jane both return for UK and Ireland tours in 2024.
JWP with special permission from The Band Aid Trust has commissioned a new musical Just for One Day based upon the events around Live Aid. Written by John O’Farrell and Directed by Luke Sheppard, this new musical will open at the Old Vic Theatre, London in January 2024.
In addition to the UK and Ireland tour, Sister Act the musical will return to London in 2024 for a 24-week limited season at the Dominion Theatre, starring Beverley Knight. There are also two other separate productions planned in Europe and Australia in 2024.
With three-time Tony Award winning producer, Kevin McCollum, JWP are proud to be producing The Devil Wears Prada with music by Elton John and directed by Jerry Mitchell. This brand-new production will be having an out of town try out at the Theatre Royal Plymouth before transferring to the Dominion Theatre, London from October 2024.
JWP are proud to be a co producer on the new musical The Notebook with music by Ingrid Michaelson, which opens on Broadway in February 2024.
With Kevin McCollum, JWP are in development for a new musical Night at the Museum with music by Alan Menken and a book by Bob Martin.
Jamie is a proud member of the Society of London Theatre, and is a trustee of Stage One, supporting new producers.
In Jamie’s spare time, he also co-owns George's Dog Boutique in Wimbledon Village. The salon was inspired by his pooch George and is dedicated to bringing the highest level of service and care to dogs and their owners.
Gavin & Stacey star Ruth Jones announced as Mother Superior in Sister Act at the Dominion Theatre
The producers of the award-winning production of SISTER ACT THE MUSICAL are thrilled to announce that Gavin and Stacey star and co-writer Ruth Jones will swap Barry Island for blessings as ‘Mother Superior’, making her West End debut at the Dominion Theatre from Friday 15 March 2024.
Ruth joins the multi-award-winning music star and Olivier Award winning performer Beverley Knight, reprising her performance as Deloris Van Cartier, until Saturday 8 June 2024. From 10 June 2024, the role of Deloris Van Cartier will be played by Number One best-selling artist and musical theatre star Alexandra Burke, with further casting to be announced.

Mrs Doubtfire releases Christmas TV Advert
The hit family stage musical Mrs. Doubtfire at the Shaftesbury Theatre in London has released a narrative-driven Christmas TV advert, an exclusive first for the theatre industry, which will break on ITV this Saturday 11 November and run throughout the festive period 2023. In the tradition of high street supermarkets and major retailers releasing uplifting, moving and often celebrity-fronted advertising campaigns in the lead up to Christmas, producers of the West End musical have put Mrs. Doubtfire herself to task in this heart-warming advert set to the track ‘As Long As There Is Love’ with music and lyrics by Wayne Kirkpatrick and Karey Kirkpatrick, and performed
by the Original London Company of hit musical Mrs. Doubtfire.

An Officer and a Gentleman The Musical
Prepare to be swept off your feet - the Curve production of An Officer and a Gentleman The Musical is returning to the UK! The show opens at The Alexandra, Birmingham, in February 2024 before embarking on a full UK tour, booking through to November 2024. Based on the 1982 film starring Richard Gere, An Officer and a Gentleman The Musical has a book by Douglas Day Stewart; Sharleen Cooper Cohen and will be directed by Artistic Director of Curve, Nikolai Foster, with choreography by Joanna Goodwin.
