Jamie, born and raised in London, set up Jamie Wilson Productions in 2008. Now aged 29, Jamie has produced over 50 productions both in the UK and Internationally.
Prior to being an independent producer, Jamie worked for theatre producer Mark Goucher. In 2008, he won the Stage One New Producers Bursary Award and was mentored by Paul Elliott. Jamie is a member of the UK Theatre Association and for the past four years has held Producer workshops in the West End for The Ambassador Theatre Group and for Stage One.
Jamie recently produced the critically acclaimed and box office success Calamity Jane, a co-production with the Watermill Theatre directed by Nikolai Foster and starring Jodie Prenger. In January 2016, Jamie collaborated with both the Watermill and Jodie again, for a brand new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Don Black’s hit musical Tell Me on a Sunday.
In July 2016, Jamie alongside Leicester Curve, mounted a brand new production of Sister Act directed and choreographed by Craig Revel Horwood, and starring Alexandra Burke, which is currently on a record-breaking international tour. The tour has just been extended to September 2017.
Also in the summer of 2016, Jamie collaborated with The Watermill Theatre to create an all new production of Crazy For You directed by Paul Hart. Following the critically acclaimed reviews, this production will now embark on a year long tour around the UK, starring Tom Chambers and Caroline Flack opening at the Plymouth Theatre Royal, August 2017 and Claire Sweeney from January 2018.
This October, Jamie in collaboration with The Birmingham Repertory Theatre will mount the World premiere of Nativity! The Musical, based on the hugely successful film series, created by Bafta award winning Debbie Isitt. According to the Mail On Sunday and the BBC, this musical has been tipped to be one of the highlights of 2017!
Jamie, this year, will also be developing and workshopping two major new musicals that will hopefully have their World premieres in 2018 and 2019.
